"My World" began in London in 2003, when Felicity Jones and Anna Costanza, recent graduates from the London College of Printing, won a grant from Deutsche Bank.
The money was used to run a series of photography workshops for children aged 9 to 13 in the Tricycle Art Centre in Kilburn, London.
The children were given disposable cameras and took pictures of their worlds over a two week period.
The workshops were highly successful and were selected for critic's choice in the children's section of the London Time Out magazine.
Photographs from 25 children from varying cultures and backgrounds were collected.
The resulting work was then displayed in a series of exhibitions across London.
The "My World" photography project ran for three months as part of a youth arts festival for the children of the Stonebridge Estate, London. The children enjoyed learning photographic skills and the pictures taken reflect the children's home, school and social life. This project was part of a regeneration program for the highly deprived area of South Kilburn.
